The Trust at Work
Workshop
Trust matters in organizations.
When people see those they work with as trustworthy
everyone benefits. When even a few are not trusted
the entire organization
suffers. This highly participatory workshop is
designed to equip people with the language, skills
and competencie needed to build and maintain
strong trust in work relationships, and to rebuild
it
when
it is damaged. In today’s fast-paced, demanding
work environments people tend to take their own
trustworthiness for granted and assume they are
always trusted by those around them. The reality
is
that when they stop paying attention people can
easily and unintentionally act in ways that erode
others’ trust in them. The result is distrust,
which can have disastrous effects on that person’s
effectiveness at work. By knowing what to pay
attention to and doing so, on the other hand,
individuals
and teams can maintain high trust and the effectiveness
that comes with it. Research has shown that high
trust in a company can translate directly and
significantly to bottom line profitability.

Mastering Difficult Conversations Workshop Mastering Difficult Conversations is a one-day workshop designed for people at all levels within an
organization. The focus is on achieving the best outcomes from difficult conversations, with dignity and
grace. Specific types of conversations to be covered include: giving difficult feedback, discussing
problem behavior, talking about trust, making effective complaints for action, and dealing with
resistance.
Coaching for Managers Workshop
Coaching for Managers is a two-day workshop. It is designed specifically for managers who wish to add
coaching to their repertoire of leadership styles. "Coaching leaders help employees identify their unique
strengths and weaknesses and tie them to their personal and career aspirations," says Daniel Goleman
in an article entitled Leadership That Gets Results (Harvard Business Review, March-April 2000). The
result, says Goleman, is that "Employees rise to that challenge [of their work] with their heart, mind, and
soul." In this workshop managers will learn and practice a unique set of skills that will allow them to
effectively coach employees to bring forth their best work.

The Project Leadership Course
The Project Leadership Course is a two-day course specifically designed for project managers, senior
project managers, and others in leadership roles focused on project-based work. It uses a combination
of lecture, case study, and experiential learning to help attendees learn behaviors and attitudes that will
increase their effectiveness as project leaders.

The Leadership Story© Workshop
The Leadership Story© is a two-day workshop that will take leaders at all levels through the process of
tuning into what wants to happen in their organizations--that which is organic and naturally flows from
the organization, its people, and its mission--and to developing the story that tells of its unfolding. A
great story is both simple and explicit, and complex and implicit. It can be easily told and understood,
yet carries in it all the information needed for people throughout the organization to make sound
decisions in their daily work life. Based on the archetypal "Hero's Journey" as described by Joseph
Campbell in The Hero with a Thousand Faces (Princeton University Press, 1949), the workshop brings
key organizational leaders together to define, build and refine a powerful story of their organization. In
their two days together this leadership team will come to a clear mutual understanding of what they are
collectively called to do, where they are now and where they are going, what monsters they must
befriend, slay or outwit in order to reach their goal, and who their true allies are on the journey. The
outcome is a compelling organizational story that creates a world to which others want to belong, and a
leadership team that is well prepared to tell it.

Managing Conflict to Maximize Innovation Workshop
Managing Conflict to Maximize Innovation is a one-day workshop for decision-makers at all levels
within an organization that focuses on harnessing the creative potential of conflict to make good
decisions. Conflict is often destructive, causing pain and suffering for individuals and tearing at the fabric
of an organization. Yet, when managed and channeled it can be highly productive. This course covers
how to focus conflict on ideas rather than personalities and how to work productively with the powerful
emotions generated by conflict. Participants will also learn basic conflict resolution skills for helping to
work out employee conflicts.
